Tile Options for Your Home

When it comes to flooring for pathways, many people are now choosing more natural-looking options such as stone or travertine tiles. Travertine flooring was used as early as Roman times, although it wasn’t polished then as it is now. However, it was chosen for high traffic areas because it was extremely hardwearing and could withstand a lot of movement before it would need replacing. This is why it is a great choice for garden paths, which receive a lot of traffic to and from the house.

Travertine tiles can also be used indoors, and are particularly great for kitchens and bathrooms – again, areas which see a lot of movement, with people constantly trailing in and out. You can use the same tiles on walls as well as floors, giving your bathroom a really smart and unified look.

Marble tiles are another great choice for bathrooms where you would prefer a stylish but natural look. Just like travertine, marble has been used for centuries to create statues, walls, columns and floors. The beauty of marble is still popular and it is the choice of many for tiling and work surfaces. Our beautiful cappuccino marble tiles are available in different patterns and offer an extremely durable flooring surface for your home.

Another great natural option is slate tiles, which can also be used for both walls and floors. These are a good choice if you are looking for something a bit darker, such as for in areas which get a lot of traffic and get dirty more quickly.
